The winner of many design awards including Macef RE-think & RE-cycle Designboom Competition, Inna Alesina is the principal of Alesina Design Inc., Maryland based product design and development studio.
Inna Alesina was born in Kharkov, Ukraine. She studied industrial design at Ukrainian Institute of Industrial Arts and continued her studies at Parsons School of Design in New York. Alesina's interest in universal design and environmental issues led her to design products that have won numerous awards and wide recognition by the press. Most recently published in the compendium “Dish”- International Design for the Home, and featured in many design collections including Material Connextion. Working in an array of projects such as furniture, consumer products and performance wear she always brings unique solutions and unexpected results. As faculty member of Environmental Design Department at Maryland Institute College of Art, Alesina’s inspiring attitude also encourages young designers. Inna Alesina co-authored a book with Ellen Lupton, Exploring Materials: Creative Design for Everyday Objects, published by Princeton Architectural Press spring 2010.
